So many good titles on this list! Of them, I've only read the War of Art in its entirety, and this is one I should read quarterly. I confess I haven't finished the Artist's Way, but this is the gentle nudge I need to go back!
The War of Art is a stable and the Artist's Way is usually more fun with a friend the first time you read it. Having someone to talk to gives you that extra boost!
Ohhh love these recs! I’ve read most of these and would also recommend; others, are already on my “read next” list. The only new title for me is Anam Cara. Will be looking into that one more, sounds like an interesting read! Thanks for sharing.
Rebeca you read Healing Collective Trauma?! That was a profound read for me this year. I learned so much about my nervous system and it explained so much to me I bought it for one of my cousins. Anam Cara is weighty - it's not a quick read.
Not yet! But it's already on my list. I'm still working through "The Body Keeps the Score" -- so after I'm done that one, it'll be either Healing Collective Trauma or something else on the list. (: Glad to hear you learned so much from it though, that makes me even more excited for when I get to it!
Thanks for the recommendations, Jen. I’ve read The Artist’s Way, and morning pages have become a fixture for me, even if the practice comes and goes. I love Laura Belgray! I was fortunate to read an advance copy of Tough Titties, and it was so good. It reminded me that we can write about shit we’re not proud of, and the whole world won’t hate us for it. Think I’m gonna revisit The Artist’s Way and finally grab a copy of Pressfield’s book too. Thanks for the nudge. :-)
Tara, I'm so glad you liked those recs. Can't go wrong with the Artist's Way and The War of Art. Both are so good. And isn't Laura hilarious! I was on her Tittie Committee for her book launch -- were you too?

I'm reading The Body Keeps the Score now too. It's taking me awhile to get through it.

Jen, I was! And it was great because I had been anxious to read it and didn’t want to wait. 😊
Awesome! Same. Maybe I can get her to do a guest post one day :-) 🤞 I'm aiming high!
