Hey Scribbler,
I want to try something new to kick off 2025…
Here’s the deal: Over the past year, all kinds of people have reached out asking, "What are you reading? What Substacks do you actually love?"
Throughout 2024, I bookmarked the newsletters I consistently read, recommend, and lean on for inspiration, insight, and the occasional laugh. And I realized this could become something more.
So meet Saved for Later—my new way of sharing interesting finds with you about 1-2 times a month.
This isn't another link roundup.
It's a carefully curated collection of everything I'm reading, watching, listening to, and discovering all over the interwebs—articles that delight, inspire, and spark conversations.
The kinds of finds I'd text you about if we were grabbing coffee—insights that sparked my own curiosity and felt too good not to pass along to a creative friend.
Things you’ll want to save to read over an afternoon cup of tea or Sunday morning coffee.
Each Saved for Later is a carefully curated collection of insights from other writers and creators about craft, creativity, marketing inspiration, and self-care. (I’ll toss in a few extra things that surprise and delight you:)
Read what you need and leave the rest.
(🙏🏼 Quick shout out to my friend Kimberlee West, who sparked this idea.)
And to you—for reading, commenting, and trusting me with your time and attention.
These recommendations aren't just links. They're conversations waiting to happen or kernels for your next post.
So let’s get started with Substacks…

Your Turn
I'm testing out this Saved for Later format over the next few months.
Think of it as a creative companion—a collection of discoveries from across the internet that might spark your next idea, offer a moment of insight, or simply provide a welcome pause in your day.
Would you hit reply or meet me in the comments to help me shape this:
- Is this helpful 1-2 times a month?
- What kinds of topics and media intrigue you most right now?
- Any resources or Substacks I should know about?
Your input will turn this from a collection of links into a genuine creative conversation.
Warmly,
P.S. Bonus points if you reply with a recommendation that makes me go "Oh, I need to read that!"
You can download the Substack App here to join 4 million other readers.
What a fantastic idea! And not for one second did I think I'd be on this list lol. I'm just Iverson here minding my own business 😁 I appreciate the mention. AND I'm off to read Veronica's serialization post because I literally just began my serial journey today!
Thank you for putting this together, Jen, and for including me! I'm truly touched to be in such stellar company. And now I have to save THIS post so I can come back and work my way through your recommendations. What a joy!
PS - Love the concept as an ongoing feature. Will have to think on what I might add to your list ... oh - wait! Have you read Rebecca Hooper ( @betweentwoseas )? I love everything she writes, but this one might be my favorite (so far): https://betweentwoseas.substack.com/p/the-wild-has-no-clean-lines
