Great post, Jen. I am staying around in the comments to see how other's bounce back from dissapointment 😊

As an author, I couldn't agree more with this list.

I would love to know more about Amazon discoverability. I use the keywords, SEO, categories, etc but I feel there's much more to learn there.

So funny, I thought of a great example after I hit send. I'll add it now:) This worked well 2 years ago and Amazon does change their algorithm so I'm not sure how well it still but works but:

Do your research for competitive titles. Find the closest match to your message and expertise. Then include a sentence that says, "If you loved xyz book, then this book will help you understand..."

Amazon will pull your book when readers did a search for that competitive title.

I'm going to add that to the post and write a Substack note about that now. You're awesome Veronica!

Thank you so much for this weeks words of wisdom! It’s so incredibly helpful for me, as sometime in the hopefully not too distant future I’m going to launch a deck of cards. Your sound advice seems relevant or a card launch too! i’m going to check out some podcasts. Thankfully I have more than just my parents and uncle on my email list!

Definately get yourself on podcasts. Do the research and listen to a few. Then reach out to me and I'll help you write the pitches. xo
